Please don't say cheese

Abstract: Only for local kids looking to waste money. Amritsar is host to the Taj Hotel and alongside it the Trillium mall which has the Golden Plates Food Court. With Amritsar being the food capital of Punjab, expectations are high for the cuisine served here. The food put up at the Trillium Food Court is not worth a lot of words so I will keep it short. The KFC is pretty standard and maintains it's poise in the face of a weekend. Dominoes is pretty good with feedback listened to. Baskin Robins and the other ice-cream parlours are pretty good as well. Everything else is a total waste in my view. It is street food served in an air-conditioned hall and at thrice the price. The place is oriented towards tourists and kids who are looking to waste time and money. I recommend taking a trip to the nearby Lawrence Road and a plethora of good food joints.

Best Western Maryland Zirakpur: Surprisingly Indian

Abstract: Our stay at the BWM was a pleasant one albeit felt too Indian in terms of the food. Small portions will keep some at bay for future trips but I would visit again just for the service. 4.5 out of 5 stars. Best Western is the American equivalent of McDonald's but with a little more oomph. The brand is synonymous with great quality and service and should be a safe bet for someone traveling with a family anywhere. The BW at Zirakpur is an exception to this standard and when you enter, the first thing you see is a sign saying, "Owned and Run Independently". This is not necessarily a bad thing, however, in this case, is could be a bad omen. Our visit was on the 2nd July 2017 with reservations made via 'MakeMyTrip'. An executive room was booked with a lunch and dinner plan which entitles two adults and one child to the buffet which set me back by 2500 INR. The hotel is situated behind a gas station which is pretty weird but they have made arrangements
